Basic Training Session
This course provides an overview of the ARGUS application.
Learn how information is organized
Navigate the ARGUS interface efficiently
Gain expertise with main data entry windows: Object
window, Activity window, and Party window
Utilize the Lexicon to create and maintain a controlled
vocabulary for effective data entry and retrieval
Use wizards to streamline accessions, loans, location
changes, and other processes
Perform searches with query by form
Manage lists
Generate printed reports from ARGUS' library of ready-to-use

Learn how to configure ARGUS to meet the unique needs of your institution.
Create custom SuperFields
Set up templates ("Record Types") to streamline
and improve data entry processes
Define data entry options for term-controlled fields
Customize tab labels
Remove tabs from data entry windows
Assign Tasks ("To Do" items) to records
and staff members
automatically
Write your own "help" for data entry fields
Manage user accounts
Implement database security functions (grant or restrict
user access)
